Plugin Name: Lycos Mix into WordPress

Description: A Plugin to enable Lycos Mixes to be embedded into Wordpress

Installation:

1) Download the zip file from http://www.christineandmike.net/mix.zip
2) Unzip the folder, to reveal mix.php and readme.txt
3) Upload the mix.php file to your /wp-content/plugins folder
4) Activate the plugin from your Plugins Admin Panel
5) That’s it.

Usage:

When viewing a Mix on Lycos Mix, take their embed code, which will look like this:
<script type=”text/javascript”> mix = “spiderman-3″; textcolor = “fff”; linkcolor = “0af”; s = “http://mix.lycos.com”;</script><script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://mix.lycos.com/js/minimix.js” mce_src=”http://mix.lycos.com/js/minimix.js”></script>

Grab the part that signifies the mix, in this case “spiderman-3″

When posting in your blog, simply put [ mix spiderman-3] (or whatever the Mix is, without the space between [ and mix)

Be sure to preview your post before putting it live.

Any questions, comments, etc, please leave them in the comments.  This is my first plugin, and was written based on various other plugins I've seen, to accomodate embedding the Lycos Mix into our blog.

Note: This has only been tested on WP 2.1.3, and not on any older versions.  Though I don't see any reason why it would not work on earlier versions of WP.
